Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

Yeah that would be true if thats the case..

 

There seems to be a google dance happening
My sites are rocketing up serps

 

It's been a roller coaster for weeks here.
One hour I fly high in the serps the next I'm gone.
I hope things will settle soon, it must be confusing for the surfers too, getting different results each time they search for a keyword combo.

 

A PageRank update would seem like it would be in progress soon according to this schedule. Last one was Week 4 - April '07 ?

Does the pagerank update always occur on Monday or is it in accordance with the lunar cycle such as a waxing quarter to eighth moon?

it seems to happen every 4 months or so. If I recall correctly, it is usually on a monday.

 

Guys, does this mean that all SERP including site/blog which are linking to the directories got hit too ??

Don't know, BUT... if you researched it and found evidence one way or the other about that, it would make a good blog post for you. Could attract a bit of the right kind of attention if you do it right, track and log your facts, and write it with a little bit of care.

well yes.... but there are those, probably a majority at DP, who are supported by income from adsense. and they do want their visitors to leave right away - via an ad courtesy of google.

if you have a 100% perfect site and every visitor finds exactly what she needs on your site, then nobody will click on your ads. so your site has to be slightly crappy, so that some people will move on to the ads, but not too crappy, or it won't get anywhere. it is an art.

Yeah it already happened - end of April 2007 they updated it. It is predicted there might be another one in the future some day

 

Google either skipped or is very late for pr update for August-july

 

There has been no recent update.

There is no set schedule.

Updating toolbar PR is not a priority for Google.

 

I think google updated backlinks last week, but we have yet to see PR update.

 

Many of us are experiencing the same. Drastic swings in SERPs. Treat it like the stock market — don't hold your breath hour by hour, but just let the moderating influence of time bring things back to stability.
