I guess this is the official pr update thread!

I still don't see any changes, but it will happen very soon.

It must be that time again ..... the rumbles before the storm :D
I think what ever has happened has stopped and will probably revert back to the old PR soon..... Then in about 3 weeks there'll be another 'I see pagerank changes' which will be the real deal ;)

well, these tools never seem to work for me OR it hasn't happened on my sites.

they are all the same PR which can also be good since they didn't drop

LOL, hopefully it is in 2 weeks as my sites have the same PR as before.

I was just thinking of a Seinfeld episode as I read these posts.

all webmasters are silently waiting in line for PR update.
then someone keeps asking and asking , when, oh when is it?.

the Google king replies, "NO PR for you. !!! out of here.

OK, yeah I've played too many games.

    Please, be nice:
    • I'm trying to learn, and...
    • ...also have a little fun. :)

    Facts:

    1. Google the term "when was the last Google PR update?" and you will find this in the #1 spot.
    2. It tells you very clearly you do not need to wait for, or get excited about PR updates
    3. "Page Rank Export Table Definitions

TBPR Export: Toolbar PageRank Export - export of Real PR to the Toolbar PR 11 unit scale (no longer called a PR update as Real PR is updated continously and the Toolbar PR change is just an export of that updated value).
GDPR Export: Google Directory Export - export of Real PR to the Google Directory 8 unit scale (no longer called a PR update as Real PR is updated continously and the Google directory PR change is an export of that updated value)."

    Note:
    • I'm not afraid to be mistaken, or appear a bit foolish...
    • I tend to try to ignore Google.

    Summary:

    • PR is now "continually updated", so...
    • ...why do Webmasters at DP, still have monster threads like this one???

    Edit:
    • Since PR is now continually updated, does anyone reading this know the most reliable, trusted places to check for current PR data?

Well, I really don't get it.
    • The terms have changed...
    • The exciting 'Page Rank Updates!' (which used to occur every 2-3 months) now just updates the toolbars and GDPR...
    • It's "no longer called a PR update as Real PR is updated continously"...
    • ...so, why the excitement (in this thread), when you can check your 'real' page ranks at any time?

    Where is it!

I saw people posting here a week ago to a new member saying not to bother with links as it was too late for the latest page rank update which is happening as we speak and would be finished within the week.

Do Google not update page rank internally on an ongoing basis? This is what they say they do anyway.

Where can you check your "real" page rank at any time? Everyone is waiting for the public update, which counts very much if you use the co-op. Maybe that's why PR matters to some people. If not you, good for you... but for others, it does.

Don't worry about what people say ffs!

Nobody can predict Google, or the future for that matter.

Although it is true, if you buy a good link less than a month before the *predicted* update then it won't help you, at least in my case.
