Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

Well the guy in charge of updating PR at Google - we'll call him "Joe" (not his real name) - was planning to get it done early August, but then a bunch of hippies started squatting next to his villa in Second Life, so he had to spend a week dealing with that. Then someone stole one of his images from Flickr, so he had another war on his hands. Because of all this, he started falling behind in Warcraft. Plus, his dog got this weird bald patch on her back, so he had to take her to the vet. Meanwhile he really started getting into Twitter, Facebook, and a bunch of other social networking sites.

Because of all this Joe totally forgot about the PR update - though there's this murky nagging worry at the back of his mind - and there won't be any update until his boss asks him to come upstairs and has a little chat about "meeting targets" and "stepping up" and "delivering" and so on.

So my advice would be to let Joe know that he has to get his priorities straight... Call him up! Remind him about the update. He's one of the summer interns in the Support Department.

 

who else got an email from smartpagerank lol? I got an email few minutes ago informed that there are pagerank update on my sites but when I checked, it still remain the same

seems this thread has slowed down

I figured it would of passed 5,000 post by now.

I'm guessing most of us have given up on checking for the PR update, why not work on your site Vs checking datacenters.

The way I figure, if my Pr changes, someone else will let me know :

 

I suspect pagerank updates will start happening at random intervals ranging from 3 months to 6 months.

I'm starting to realize all those ppl that said PR doesn't matter, might know what their talking about :O

 

Pagerank is like getting a promotion at work, but not getting a raise. You want it really bad, but in reality it doesn't do anything. It's bragging rights.

 

I did receive the first email from them, but nothing new!

Mine have been doing that with PaRameter the last few days, bouncing to N/a then back to normal.. I was excited the first day or two :/

the only change i have noticed for pr go up is this http://open-site.org/International/Greek/Τοπικά/ going from n/a to pr5.

So true, I know PR6 sites that hardly have any traffic. Traffic is King.

 

So very true. Traffic equals conversions -- you can't convert what you don't get.

 

Why don't we forget about the PR Update, go to sleep for a few months or take a vacation. Then, come back (wake up) and see what happened. I can't believe we are all in this STUPID thread. Most of us would probably, made some money already, have fun or did something productive, simply if we were not HERE.
