I bet they aren't, though it might not be a bad thing if they were.

With all the due respect that YOU didn't show me "LMOA!" Have you ever operated a single webserver? Try doing a data update on 700+ servers simultaneously. I operated a crawling box and an http box with mysql and a major change can cause a crash. With that said, I was just noting an observation, not expressing an opinion.

Yes, probably so. But that tone of reply was certainly not warranted.

opinions are opinions, you did post in a public forum. my only comment on the subject is that it could easily done with one click of a button. Very easily with php/mysql asp/mysql etc....

Im sure this is what everyone meant and no feelings were meant to get hurt. no need to change the topic of the post.

page rank has people so uptight...

The resources that I was referring to were CPU resources and not human resources.

and that reply was not directed towards you. it was a comment to the person that commented on your post. maybe i should have quoted. i will no longer reply unless it is directly page rank update related. sorry for going OT.

Come on guys, lets get along or you guys settle it via pm. No need to keep arguing.

Anyhow, the pr has updated on a couple of my homepages, but others have had no change via homepage or sub page. Almost all my sub pages have updated that.

So I believe its still in the process of updating.

Back on topic, Adam Lansik dropped in on a different forum the last couple of days asking webmasters:
    • What they like/dislike about PageRank
    • What they would like to see for webmasters in it's place
    • and he mentioned that Google does not intend to change the intervals of the export (to more frequently)

When I woke up a little while ago, I noticed that I have some inner page changes for the good on 4 sites out of mega that I have but I have not received any homepage PR changes as of yet!! These changes just happened in the last 8 hours!

Yes, while Matt Cutts officially works as head of Google's webspam, he often uses his blog to disseminate information to us lowly webmasters :)

I hope they decide to put an end to PR right before the update, that'd be funny.

    An end to Page Rank?

Page Rank is the Algorithmic factor that has always differentiated Google.
