    PR not important?

Gee, I seem to get a lot more link exchanges with better PR.........

Next thing you will be telling me that Link exchanges are not important....

I mean, cmon, Why be a cynic against the obvious.

**Note: This is directed at those saying PR is not important**

To build your site to rank well lexiseek, you cannot rank well without good links. Its all in the links!

It took over two weeks to see any changes for my sites when last PR update took place (and the first posts appeared online). Just be patient if you don''t see it right away, if you've done your job right it will come.

Seriously? Most link exchanges aren't very good links, truth be told. A lot of "partners" use "no-follow" and redirected links is what I've found. And how many people have high PR links pages?

I read every post in response....

Actually link exchange is useless for PR as a pr4 would cancel out a pr4.

One way links are the best as they appear more authoritative especially when within the same category.

Targeted traffic & conversions + revenues are important

    PR is of some value....

But it's my opinion which I am free to express.

    Others mileage may differ.

I agree, money is what I'm after. I think this is the basic attitude you learn after being in the business for 3 or 4 years. You were smart to say it was your opinion. Otherwise you might get red-repped to death :)

That is completely wrong. A pr4 link still gives you PR juice...

He's saying that an easily detectable one-for-one exchange cancels out the PR transfer. That's my opinion too, since October of 2006.
