Hmm. Id say get rid of it quick. Google is a trademarked term. There could be legal ramifications from that.

You know, I once thought of registering "googleporn.com", but it would appear that Google already owns it...

While the domain is good. It uses a trademarked term. Therefore, Google will tell you to transfer the domain to them because you are infringing on their trademark.

If you really want to develop this about Google. I would inquire to Google about it. They probably will not allow you.

What I would do if I were you and I owned this domain.

    1) Just put up a forum with plenty of nice informative posts about Google.

    2) Contact Google and let them know you are building a fan community with informative discussion about the Google phenomenon and that it will be a great place for Google reps to check up on the latest common user buzz.

    3) Ignore the people talking about trademark law as if they know anything about trademark law.

It's up to Google whether they think it's worth taking the domain from you or not. It's up to you to make the case to them why they shouldn't.

We'll if its an Anti-Google forum, like a forum where people flame google.com, then they will probably use the TM to their advantage. Make sure you get Google's permission.

I think you'll be fine as long as the domain is used for a Google fan community as GeorgeB mentioned, and as long as you clearly state that you are not associated with Google, etc etc..

Depending on how you use the domain, you might be able to get around the trademark problem - for example there's www.makeeasymoneywithgoogle.com owned by Eric Giguere and as far as I know he hasn't got any threats of legal action from Google over his use of it. However, I don't think you'll be able to put Adsense on it (if indeed you were planning on doing so) because I'm fairly sure there's something in the terms and conditions that states that you can't have words like "google" and "adsense" in the domain. Don't quote me on that one though. :)

That's an excellent domain, keep it at all costs. You should sell it, could get $1000+ for it. :)

I used to frequent Google Community quite often last year. I thought Google might take it down before 2006, but still they are surviving now.

I think to continue using your domain you have to be prepared receiving letter from Google one day, hopefully for good reason. Somehow I agree with GeorgeB entirely for his views. Just say something good about Google won't harm I guess.

    Good luck anyway. ;)

hi sportwall, I'd really recommend reading Taubmansucks.com. It's a good read and also relevant to your current situation. Good luck with the domain if you purchase it, mate. :)

If there is no problem with trademark then its a very good name.
I can see somebody has valued it for $1500 ( in same thread ), OH MY GOD do you believe this?

Dont get hyped by such appraisals IMHO
