I've heard rumors that googlecheckout isn't as safe as it seems..

even ebay banned it? but it is a competitor.. so i didn't expect much.

Truth is, i'm purchasing some digital stuff from people straight up in China.

Before I buy from them, I want to make sure that I am protected, because I know google checkouts requires a credit card..

and I dont want to be money drained by a Chinese guy from China.

I'm Chinese... but live in the US (boo yah).

Does google provide any protection of sorts?
And is it secure enough, for me to pay someone international, to not get scammed.

i would have gone paypal, but these guys dont lke paypal

    Well first of all,

1.) What isn't banned from Ebay? Ebay/PayPal are money hogs and have even removed Cash & Money Orders from supported payment methods in efforts to improve their own profits from the PayPal fees.

2.) I wouldn't buy stuff from China (No Offense). It's just that if I get ripped off by someone in the USA, I can do something about it.

3.) Google Checkout is pretty safe, I have used it before and it seems fine. Google is a huge & reliable company that definitely has precautions to prevent scammers from signing up.

I have to agree on all three of these points. I also think that Google checkout is probably a lot safer than Paypal.

If you're asking the question about this person in China, I would consider holding off. I've personally bought several items from China and Hong Kong, but I was never in doubt that I would get what I paid for. Regardless of where you're buying from, if you think that there is a good chance of getting ripped off, then don't do it. The money has to come from somewhere even if you get yours back, and these looses contribute to tight restrictions and poor service.

This guy is selling some digital items, which i can do for resell, so nothing physical.

I can then resell these out.

I just want to know if i'm protected, because i have never used googlecheckout, and

obviously like you all, i'm skeptical about chinese people in China.

    I know my own kind.
