Well.... got a new program GSite Crawler.... Great tool, creats a good sitemap for me to upload to google... and then I notice that the last time googlebot scanned our site was AUGUST 12th!!!

    then i searched info:airandaqua.com - no results
also site:airandaqua.com returned only TWO results!?

    What gives!?

How can I get google to index more of my pages and why would they not index them in the first place with the amount of links I have on my landing page?

    -Befuddled here....

    http://airandaqua.com/sitemap.xml

Thanks in advance to anyone who replies :)

Use gcrawler to generate the sitemap, and you have an option for frequency, change that to however often you wish your site to be crawled. Then login to google.com/webmasters and submit your sitemap then wallah, just wait a while

That's impossible if you have outbound links. Even if a new website, after submitting to google, it wil crawl you regularly. Googlebot do visit my website everyday when I just finish it.

    It isn't impossible.

I have not been to your site, so if anything I say seems that I haven't been there, then thats exactly correct.

If they have crawled you and everytime they look again, they get a 200 message (nothing changed), then obviously they are not going to crawl you if they cannot see any new content.

The backlinks help, as they mean that the bot can find you more easily... but if there ain't anything there that they have not got already, then they ain't coming to visit.

Joining the webmaster will help, as they will send a crawl of the site, perhaps. They definitely will if they think there is new content.

My help: Create new content. Make news. Make stuff that changes. Why does anyone go to your site? If it hasn't changed in a year, then maybe you need to look at why you have a site at all. Is it brochureware? Fine, leave it alone, it might do what you want it to.

    ::shrug::

hheng, the site has been up since 2004, we used to have our whole site indexed by google and a pagerank of 5....

sgorman go look at the site! :p Thanks everyone for the tips. Yes I am on google webmaster tools and just yesterday submitted a sitem,ap so hopefully that helps. I have just recently changed the entire landing page to where almost all pages in the site now link from the main page so they should notice that the site has changed and I have also been adding news stories so maybe they will notice the new content also....

I am going to start another link campaign, Bagi, so I hope that will help me also...

And the last time google crawled our site was August 12th 2006. I hope I am wrong about being crawled once a year by them lol....

Thanks for the rep though it looks like a black point, but no problem:D
