GoogleBot is crawling slowly..why?

    Hi There
    i noticed that GoogleBot is crawling my forum threads slower than the last month!
    last month when i was monotiring GoogleBot was very fast in crawling
    since 1 minute i viewed it,and till now it still crawling the same thread!
    is there any reason for this?
    and how to make GoogleBot faster?

    i have read somewhere here about google bot being down for sometime.
    May be it's the reason

    sometimes it slows down, for a few months was crawling about 20k pages per day from my site then for about a week it did only about 2000 per day now its faster then ever at almost 100k pages per day from 1 site

    Add new content in your forum and get some backlinks from high PR pages.

    This will help to increase the crawl speed.
