Googlebot and stats.

    Hey, Im trying to figure out why a sudden increase of unique sessions on my site. I tought if googlebot would be crawling only pageviews would increase? Or does google usually increase ur unique visitors by 3500? :/

    i think search robots dont add to your pageviews or unique visiter list, that providing your using stats program such as awstats.

    the increase in visiters is either

    1) A boost in SERPS
    2) Reffer Spam

    Im using Urchin, and thats what I think also but I cant find any reason why the sites traffic would double out of the nowhere :/ I guess its an increase in serps if so then the site should remain there. Lets see.
