GoogleBase: what content to post?

    About Google Base.
After reading Google Base Policies it seemed to be clear what kind of content is required posting in it, after performing a search in Google Base it is not so clear...

    So,
    1) what content is it supposed posting in it? Just contents which are not already included in Google SE?
Would it be duplicate content if I post the same content published on my website?

    2) over the Affiliate programs, in the Google Base Policies I read: "Posting is not permitted for the promotion of affiliate sites or products sold through an affiliate marketing relationship"

As I told, performing any search in Google Base I see there content which was being already included in Google SE and for the 'affiliate problem' I see a large number of items are from affiliates sitES.

Can anybody help me to clear this confusion?

    Many Thanks

You're basically not supposed to post affiliate related posts, but google cant filter out everything.

When you post you have the option of putting in a destination URL, in which case a user is redirected to your site without ever seeing your ad. I don't think there is any chance of a dupe penalty with google base.

So far I posted a classified ad and it had very good traffic, especially since I posted it the first day that google base was live.

Thanks Jestep, I would like to make clear this matter; you say:
You mean, could I post in Google Base products with destination URLs a catalog published on my website - which lists any features of such products, even though the sale will be performed on the merchant's site?
(The landing pages for Google Base users clicking products I posted in it, would be on my own catalog on my website.)
    What do you think?

    Thanks again

As far as the function goes, it would work fine. I think that as long as your site offers something unique form the merchants you should be fine in google's eyes as well. Otherwise, I would imagine that this would fall under the affiliate site category in google.
