    If you do that, wouldn't all those keywords show on your page?

    So you might end up with targeted ads but no visitors because your site will look like crap with keyword boxes on it and everyone will just hit the "back" button

    no i can make them looking good, if you can get them into the design it wont suck! ive got a 400% increase after adding that code cause my ads are related to what my visitors want to buy now!

    This is not what the tag was made for. It's not designed to allow you to stuff keywords inbetween the tags at all. Content targeting should be used to highlight sections of your content as the important parts. You need a considerable amount of content between the tags for it to be effective.

    For example, you've got a page about cars, but your navbar contains links to PHP tutorials etc. Now without the section targeting Adsense will display ads based on both your links, irrelevant content, and the actual content. The result - irrelevant ads.

    With the section targeting, you can specify your car content as the important bit, and Adsense should show more relevant ads related to cars after a few weeks.

    Also your "keyword box" method will most likely get you banned, once Google gets wind of it:

    So crusader, then according to Google (in the part you bolded) he's free to do that as long as the keywords in the box are germane to the topic of the page, right?

    If it is visible, it is content, so he's OK on that score as well.

    Well, it depends on how you view content. It's a very grey area, but I would rather be on the safe side.

    yes ure right so i have to stick on content optimization (i mean writing my posts thinking the words strategies and build content pages about what my visitors want to buy)

    That's the way to go yes. There's nothing wrong with having keyword rich content and then putting that between the section targeting tags.

    I know exaactly what you are saying BJ
    I really have no clue about this ad section targeting thing(and what would violate the TOS). It seems odd that google would even offer such a thing.

    While puting something like:
    ********************************
    <!-- google_ad_section_start -->
    <H1>Asbestos Cancer</H1>
    <strong>Asbestos cancer</strong>
    <!-- google_ad_section_end -->
    is an interesting cancer that could make you a lot of money if you sue the right
    people.
    ***********************************************
    Seems like that should target to the keywords better. But I'm not certain
