So I recently started a new forum, it doesn't have a large amount of members or posts. But for some reason, Google is indexing the site 24/7. Everytime I go on the there, Google is there and for hours. What's causing this? Is it a good or bad thing?
It's a good thing and completely normal even if you have minimal content. Are you running adsense? Google uses a bot for adsense as well as it's normal spider as well.
You must also keep in mind that the session timeout on your guests may be set to high, making it look like Google is there when in fact it left hours ago. I am not sure which platform you are using for a forum, but check out the session times for it. strudinox is correct though, it's normal, and a good thing!
It is a completly good thing that google is constantly there! It means that google is indexinging your site to google so that it can be seen.
Google Inc. is an American multinational public corporation invested in Internet search, cloud computing, and advertising technologies. Google hosts and develops a number of Internet-based services and products, and generates profit primarily from advertising through its AdWords program. The company was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin, often dubbed the "Google Guys" while the two were attending Stanford University as PhD candidates. Thanks,
thanks for what exactly? Your post had NOTHING to do with the conversation, and is seemingly copied from another source... like the wikipedia for google. So seriously, what was the point in bumping a 130 day old thread for that?
