    i just hear from diffrent sources that sites esp ecommerece sites got hit bad in terms of serps, esp for sites that employ to much seo teniques.

    *too much* isn't necessarily what they are doing.. it could be any number of factors, theories, and instances. You'd need to supply the sites you were concerned about for us to help you out.
