    Hey,
I want to write a case study on the acquisition of youtube by Google.. Does anybody know where i can find that ? I need to address following issues:

What was the rationale of the merger?
    Who were the key players?
What role did investment bankers perform in the transaction?
Do you think that the M&A was successful?

    Please let me know

    Thanks..

    WRONG!

    Better sources:

Academic journals - conceptual frameworks of strategy
textbooks - strategy in particular - find frameworks on why firms horizontally integrate
Economist - have run a few articles on the topic
    telegraph/guardian or any other broadsheet

Random sources from the internet are generally not academically rigourous and unsuitable for a case study

    http://www.rba.co.uk/sources/manda.htm - mergers

Also have a look at Porter's stuff as well as scanning theories as to why google would want to move into that niche in the market

    Good luck

You got that right. This would understandably answer the first two questions.

    Here's an interesting link: http://www.wakeupfromyourslumber.com/node/211

"We have repeatedly highlighted past examples of censorship on behalf of Google, including their blacklisting of a mainstream news website that was mildly critical of China, and also the deliberate stifling and manipulation of Alex Jones' Terror Storm film ranking on Google Video. Google was also caught red-handed attempting to bury the Charlie Sheen 9/11 story at the height of its notoriety."

Yep, but it is possible to find puclished data and information from those sources on the internet that can be found through google search, though it you may need to search pretty hard.
