I want to work in Google if I can get promoted, and be allowed to buy into their stock. Even though it's falling in price. Many Google execs are [multi] millionaires. Top execs, well....tens or hundreds of millions. Who cares about trying so hard to earn 10k a month through Adsense or whatever? It will still take a long time to make even one million. Even at 50K a month.... Get promoted in Google. That's the way. )
I'd work for Google, absolutely. Whether or not it's the best place to work, it's a major step up from where I'm at now. Realistically though, I'd never be of any use to the company. Except maybe as a janitor...
It is one of the best jobs in the world because of all the comps that employees get. It's really ridiculous actually, I saw a CNBC special on working @ Google. Free food and all of these great employee benefits... people here definitely don;t know what they are talking about
In the same boat. I enjoy what I'm doing but if it came down to having to get a "real job" I would want to work for Google. Gourmet lunches? C'mon!
Last year, Google was ranked as the #1 company to work for. They have relaxed schedules and still manage to make amazing products.
Yeah, have you all seen that one video, where you can see the daily work of Google Employee's WOW, Awesome lol
Google is like the monolith, you look at it and say, "my god, it's full of stars" A lot of tech companies offer free stuff and a campus lifestyle, so I wouldn't join just for that. It would be the chance to work on their projects, but I don't think I could keep up with so many PhDs.
They have it great at that job. They have gourmet meals each day and all that good stuff. I want to get a job there and find out as much info about the search engine as I can before I get fired.
I would not work for google, especially in low position, I worked for 2 years in a SE - not google - basically they pay a few cents when a person works in low position, and if one wants to make career , there are many others want to apply for the same place... So in most cases it's not good to work for someone else
I'd work for Google. No question. Very cool, very fun, very smart people. I'd use the opportunity to network my ass off and learn as much as possible. I have a couple friends at Google's office in Irvine, but I think it'd be much more interesting to be in one of the bigger offices.
Working from home is a better option for me. But if i can work for google from home I might give it a second thought.
I say I wouldn't jump at Google, but i would take it as a regular job, some people believe because you meet friendly ppl, etc, get benefits, that you wont be fired and its a totally different job, NOT. I would be happy but not too flattered, as any other job.
I am fairly sure Matt Cutts is a lot richer than he would have you believe Yeah, working for Google has its perks, lol.
You can easily work in Google..If you apply for atleast 5 times..keep applying and they will take you..no one can resist the power of eagerness
