We just changed all the content on a website, the main domain stayed the same but the .co.uk/example changed. Initially the old pages stayed in Google but have started to drop out of the rankings, but Google isn't indexing the new pages. I uploaded a sitemap about 2 weeks ago but still no luck. Bing and Yahoo have started to index the new pages, but what can I do about Google?
Wait Google takes sometime to update. Even my site was 15 post back , when i saw my last cached google page.
The main domain has stayed the same just the .co.uk/hfdkhjgkh has changed. We have now done a redirect on the old pages to go to the new homepage, but there is still no new pages indexed
Patience my friend, is a virtue... Just try to wait for it. There is no point checking everyday if your pages are indexed by Google.
Maybe you should take another look into your inner linking structure ?? Are you linking to each of those main category pages from the home page or from a page that is linked from the home page? However, deep linking from other sites will help your inner pages get indexed quite fast
ive heard that getting a backlink from yahoo answers can really help get your page indexed faster as it is a high pagerank website and it gets scanned by the google bot pretty often
It will surely take time for G to index your webpages. Just start building links for your new domain name and this will help your website in indexing and getting higher SERP's.
Google has now accepted the site map, but is yet to index the pages. I understand this could take a while, but Google has now dropped our domain from their listings for our company name as a keyword. I'm hoping this is just temporary and will be replaced by the new pages?
If google index your site , it is ok . Google will not index all of your pages . If you think it is an important page, just change your internal link structures. Make links point to the page within your internal pages. It helps googlebot to index the page.
