i have had a website for over 8 months now and i only have acouple of leads in google. I am guessing there is a problem with my site, because when i craw the homepage i only get 1 link, but when i crawl my CART page i get 100s of hits, but google wont crawl my 2nd page, because thay only crawl the main page dont they ? I have edited my sitemap but that dont seam to make any difference. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Here are a few things for you to consider:
    - More links from other sites to your site will help you
    - Obvious, text link-based navigation from your home page to all other pages on your site will help you
    - Using text instead of FLASH or other non-indexable content will help you

    - Linking out to bad neighborhoods will hurt you
    - Only having backlinks from bad neighborhoods won't help you

Hope you get some ideas from this! Good luck!

Hi, yeah, i get all that, i have quite a few backlinks, a fist full of keywords, a good title description, and good description meta tags. I have about 1100 products. A customer base of 100 or more. I can`t seam to get on dmoz org, yahoo looks good, msn has no links what-so-ever and google are tighter than my wallet. How much work does one have to do to be seen ?

Have you tried to submit your site url & sitemap to www.google.com/webmasters/tools ?
I did on my site and it crawl in a week or two
You have to signup first and put the verification file or code on your site, you can then analyse how google crawls and indexes your site, traffic, query from search engine etc

You can also find another usefull feature from google at www.google.com/webmasters

I agree, unless you have a good one way link pointing to your site, you should try submitting your site to Google Webmaster and Google Analytics. This should be good enough to get Google to notice you :)
