Since there are always comments about what search engine brings what % of traffic, I thought it will be interesting to post this link here to an article at clickz

    http://www.clickz.com/stats/sectors/search_tools/article.php/3528456

were it says the market share of the search engine in a recent (July) survey.
In summary it is like this
    google: 39.34
    yahoo: 18.16
    msn: 15.32

Yeah, I would have thought that Google had more than 39%, also.

Local papers, (The Netherlands), published a survey taken amongst dutch internet searchers: google.com + google.nl has 80%+ market share; sounds more like what I see in my referrers...

can some what with right auths create a poll - thread here: "What SE do you use ?" as a poll. see what comes up. My guess: 99% google :)

But if searches caused by bad hostnames (I make a lot of typos and end up with a MSN search page) also count, MSN is worth 10% ...

Google definitely has more, no matter what this link says. When I was in Google, G was sending me about 2000/3000 a day, compared to 100/day for MSN and Yahoo total. That's a massive number, and why EVERYONE wants/needs to get into google to have a successful site.

Well, this survey was taken from US users, so it also depends on from where your traffic is coming and on the topic of your site, since each search engine is used on different % to search for different topics.

50% of staticstics are made up

35% have some kind of bias or disclaimer that makes it useless ( google has a 80% market share of males in towns that start with the letters a,b,and z , that can also stand in one feet for 10 minutes.)

According to Nielson, google almost 50%, I'm sure they will get at least 60% by the end of next year.

Nah. IMO their market share will shrink slightly over the next 12 months.
