hard to determine if it is ad heavy. some sites like coupon codes and shopping sites are all ads. very ad heavy. however, they have a good user experience because they organize ads effectively. google probably noticed that many of these sites do not convert well for advertisers and many of these mfa sites get traffic from sources that are under-par. therefore, they are probably looking at the conversion metrics. any sites that do not provide good traffic are being cut. it just so happens that many of the ingredients that go into a MFA site make for a bad experience for advertisers on the content network.
Dude...listen...you are allowed 3 ad units...you still have 4...Big G gets mad about this...they will ban you.
where do u see 4?? i have 3....the tower on left...the adwords logo ..and the 250x250 box when u click a post.....only 3.... let me know...
It's just a turn of to me, and this is only my opinion, when I load a page and I see ads first, instead of what the page is about it just says that the author is not concerned with his subject matter, as much as he is with getting clicks. But I don't like adsense on a site at all , so my opinion is very biased.
tonyfloyd, your blog is based on an 800x600 screen size, which went out of style a couple of years ago... the majority of people on the 'net are now using screens that are 1024x768, or bigger. why is that important? because you are cramming big ads above the fold, into a narrow screen width, with a big empty border on each side... using that ancient page design with too much adsense is a recipe for disaster, when it comes to getting people to return to your blog for useful information. they are forced to scroll down the page repeatedly in order to read content that has more than 20 words in it. if you had fluid html, or a modern page design, it might not look so much like an mfa site.
jesus who even cares if it's ad heavy. you can just click off the site. google is getting too big for their britches.
who even cares? tonyfloyd obviously cares about it being ad heavy, that's why he's been changing it in this thread. who else even cares? anybody with a real website, who doesn't want to see the search engines cluttered with mindless trash mfa sites that interfere with web surfers who want to find quality content.
You are asking the wrong question - your question should be "what does my website offer visitors" then the next question Might be "I am providing a valuable service to my visitors, how can I earn from this site without detracting from it's purpose" I will answer your question - I publish my sites as they offer either information or a service to my site visitors, I choose to implement ads in such a way that does not make it difficult for my site visitors to get the content or use the service I provide. I may make less money from clicks, but my site visitors are loyal and Return to my sites again and again.
