Google will now allow some YouTube clips to be displayed by AdSense publishers

    SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 8 — Google is taking the first steps toward turning its powerful advertising network, which places ads on hundreds of thousands of Internet sites, into a system for distributing content — and more ads — across the Web.

    I'm confused. The article makes it sound like the only change is that Google is creating a contextual YouTube video block. You insert the code, and contextual videos from YouTube are displayed, with some ads surrounding the video, of course. Basically, it just sounds like a new ad format that incorporates YouTube videos.
