google websmaster tools cannot verify

    i am having trouble verifing one of my website in google webmaster tools so that i can submit the sitemap

    anybody else have this problem and how did you fix it

    Happened to me all the time. Did you try the other available method?

    For me, for google90271434973.html doesn't work but when I insert a meta tag then it works.

    I go with the metatag route too. It works fine and never have issues.

    Try both methods. I have never had a problem with either. Does it give you any sort of error?

    the annoying thing is that after you have verified, you have to keep the file in, or the meta tag. i thought it was over done with after the verification, but googs likes to keep verifying on a continual ongoing basis, so when i deleted the file i had to verify it all over again next time i logged in.
