Hello, I have a new site, around 3 months old, in the google webmaster tools I find that the site showed for some keywords but when I searched in google with the same keyword I didnt see it.
Its like it showed for a little and disappeared. Is this normal ?

The new sites are floating around SERPs all the time.
It looks like Google tries different keywords form your pages and
if people clik your page in SERP then G keeps the results.
If people ingnore the page, it goes down.
There are many of Google data centers, and each one gives a bit different results.
Quite often the new page doesn't vanish from Google, simply the database you search has no copy
of the page, and when database is updated you have the page again.
Nothing to worry about. 'Panta rhei'.

My experience (especially recently) has been the same, they appear to be way off sometimes and it has no relation to the size of the site, traffic, or age. I see one of my sites in webmaster tools ranking top 5 for a term that gets 20 million searches a month according to Google's search volume reports for October. It's simply not true... we've never seen this particular site any higher than page 2 for this specific term and you can bet we'd know it from seeing the traffic if we were there even for part of a day.

In regards to what others mentioned with other google urls throwing it off, you guys know you can just set the filter with a pull down menu in google webmaster tools to show the results for each url/country right? ;)

Although your website is not appearing on the first few pages on the SERPs, it might be down at page 125 for example.

The way I check is to use the "site:" command in google.

Enter in your keywords then "site:www.yourdomain.com"

    For example:

    "how to bet successfully" site:www.yourdomain.com

Wow, my site which is btw a forum ranks n1 for one word just because someone with nickname of that word created account.
The keyword is met only 1 time in the entrire site and I rank n1 for that. That is very very wrong. I wonder how can google be so wrong.

I think that this just shows that our sites were in that position in the last week, even for 1 minute.
If you take a look- it says "appeared" in past tense.

Thats what my question was, why the sites appear for little and then go away.

    You'd never know.
On the left side of top results panel you have Impressions, that you are probably referring to. On the right side is Traffic, and this shows people who cliked your pages. And I am quite surprised by the numbers I have seen there.
