Hey guys, if I have website which gets most of its traffic from US but its not ranking very well. If I select Target Country: US in google webmaster tools will that give me some kind of advantage over other website ranking for that same keyword?
If the Geographic Target Tool is set right then it'll surely enhance the existing traffic both with Adwords (if you're using it) and organic.
You only want to do that if your site is targeted at a local. Otherwise, it will hurt you in the other locations. So if traffic from the UK is worthless to you then do it. Otherwise, I'd work on the basics and not worry so much about that. You're already getting traffic from the USA. I tried it, it SEEMED to hurt me with my AdSense.
