Hey, I have an issue. I have a vBulletin forum and I'm trying to upload the file to verify my Google site, but because vBulletin uses the meta settings and the universal title, those tags are being automatically placed into the Google file. Therefore, it won't read the file and verify my site. Any ideas?

Do what this guy said, simply upload the XML/HTML-file that Google gives you to the root of your website and tell them to verify your website. It's not harder than that. I do it on a daily basis.

I just FTPed it to the root but when I clicked Verify, it stated that it had incorrect information. It showed a way to see what Google saw and it was the file with the title and meta information embedded.

Either way, I'll work with it. My SMF site took it without incident.

It is essential placing the root folder of your domain name and hosting account. Pay attention not using any folder or something as such mistakes could happen sometimes.
