Just wonder who uses the tools and if they are all that useful. Sorry, but everytime I start using them, my ranking and traffic drops. Maybe it is just me. What are the main advantages of using the tools. Thanks John
I like to know WHERE my links are showing up! At Yahoo Site Explorer, only 1000 links are displayed. GWT (Google Webmaster Tools) shows me nearly 2000 displayed links, 200% more than YSE. Also, I like to know WHAT anchor text that Google is crawling. They show me the key words that are appearing in my External links, and I can get a better vision of what Anchor Text I should be using more of..... Finally, the GWT shows me WHO the searchers are clicking on when they use Google. Are they finding me when they search for "Sacramento Weddings" or "Sacramento DJs" ? I can get a pretty good idea of the Search Terms most likely to be used when searching for my business. Since I began using GWT, my SERP increased to the very TOP of Organics---and my Page Rank has gone from "2" to "4" during that one year span.
