Google webmaster tools questiion

    What's the difference between Optimization-Remove URLs and Configuration-Demote this sitelink URL in Google webmaster tools?
    Please answer me.

    If someone googles your URL the results include a nice block of links all your own with 4 to 6 links to various pages of your site. Since Google does this by algorithm they might be displaying links that you don't think are important. You can demote
    these links so that others take their place.

    It doesn't remove the URL, it just gives G a suggestion to put something else in the results block.

    So, do i have to use Optimization-Remove URLs if i want a link won't be indexed by google, yahoo and others?
