Hi there Suppose you have two websites with almost identical content - but you need to keep them separate because one of them targets US audience, and the other is international. Does anybody know how you can use your Google Webmaster Tools account to tell Google what's going on, so that they don't penalize one of the websites for duplicate content? Thanks.
Sorry, but I don`t think it`s possible - Google doesn`t care about the purposes of content duplication - it simply penalizes one of the duplicated content source. But anyway, you can try to set up a website region in "Website configuration" tab. But it`s better if you write a new unique content for one of your websites - Google will be grateful to you for that.
Duplicate content generally refers to substantive blocks of content within or across domains that either completely match other content or are appreciably similar. Mostly, this is not deceptive in origin. Google Webmaster Tools only provide you with detailed reports about the visibility of your pages on Google.
It would be foolish to run two websites with the same content when its easy enough to make them different!
your site url is different , it is good now you need to change the content of your site(unique) to identify by the google. Thank you!
