Anyone using the new backlink checker on Google's webmaster tools ?

Just wondering how it stacks up against Site Explorer or any other backlink reporting tool out there.

I still like Yahoo's better because they are listed in order of importance.

Acctualy google's backlink checker is very good. It shows you ALL THE LINKS at a give time, for every page you have, a very nice statistic.
The downside is that the links get updated rarerly

...Google gets real time data from your site and pays you with 3 to 4 month old useless info. Why? Because in 3 to 4 months they hope to find out what you're up to and close the loophole. Meaning that Google is out to get you SEO's, no matter how SEO-friendly they try to look.

Here is a good example of the BIG difference in what Google SAYS it is doing, and what IT IS REALLY DOING.

What google says is doing :

Well, I took a look. I'm assuming you mean the 'better quality' links are at the top? At first glance, it would appear so, but further down the line I start seeing directory links above links on sites that are related to my niche.

Personally, I love Site Explorer, but there's no way they list results in order of quality.

Just imagine if they did, though. The SEO game would be so easy :D
