Anyone using the new backlink checker on Google's webmaster tools ? Just wondering how it stacks up against Site Explorer or any other backlink reporting tool out there.
Acctualy google's backlink checker is very good. It shows you ALL THE LINKS at a give time, for every page you have, a very nice statistic. The downside is that the links get updated rarerly
...Google gets real time data from your site and pays you with 3 to 4 month old useless info. Why? Because in 3 to 4 months they hope to find out what you're up to and close the loophole. Meaning that Google is out to get you SEO's, no matter how SEO-friendly they try to look. Here is a good example of the BIG difference in what Google SAYS it is doing, and what IT IS REALLY DOING. Well, I took a look. I'm assuming you mean the 'better quality' links are at the top? At first glance, it would appear so, but further down the line I start seeing directory links above links on sites that are related to my niche.
i'm using G webmaster tool backlink checker but it's not showing the real time data. Y site explorer is coming near the google with big steps
Personally, I love Site Explorer, but there's no way they list results in order of quality. Just imagine if they did, though. The SEO game would be so easy
