Hi guys, Need a quick help. As I mentioned on my last posted thread not to long ago. My client made a new website. a "non-www" website. The old one will be redirected to the new one. My Question is. Do I submit the new website to Google Webmaster Tool too? Cn you tell me what to do.
You can submit your main site to Google webmaster tool to know how it is performing, you can consider submitting sitemap too.
If you want to keep up on the stats and stuff but google will goto it from old site. I always submit my new sites to google webmaster tools.
Yes I do recommend adding that site to Google Webmaster Tools separately. Within GWT for the old site you are able to specify a change of address, but I believe you can only select from other websites you have in your GWT account.
The benefits of adding the new site is so that you can ensure the non-www is always display in Google. To do this, add both www and non-www and then go into the Configuration > Settings section and set preferred domain to the non-www one. After doing that you can remove the www entry and just manage the non-www one. I've done similar with a few sites of mine and had no problems.
if the old one redirected to new website. then, you can remove the old website from the webmaster and submit new websites.
you have to submit the site for proper indexing also you have to make 301 redirect and also you have to conform site ownership
Definitely you should submit your website to google webmaster tool. It will acquainted with your site link very well and helps to get PR.
