Google Webmaster Questions

    a few questions here:
    1. When i log into my acount for http://free-stuff-finder.com it says that my robots.txt file is restricing the url http://free-stuff-finder.com, that's my homepage. Here is what my robots file looks like http://free-stuff-finder.com/robots.txt so i'm not sure why it says that. further more it says on the summary page of google webmaster "Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on Jun 16, 2007. " so i am confused about all this

    2. my site http://theguitarresource.com has been public for over 2 weeks and it only has 2 pages indexed out of around 50. But my free stuff blog has been public for less than a week and all of it's pages are indexed. My guitar blog has over 1000 external links according to webmaster and my free stuff just has 6. so i am really confused here

    3.also on the summary page of google webmaster for my guitar blog it does not say "Googlebot last successfully accessed your home page on_______" but all my other blogs have that line with a date.

    can someone please help on these issue... thanks!

    1. Your robots.txt looks ok, so this may be a bug
    2 Google doesn't have your theguitarresource.com homepage in cache neither shows it any BL for it. As it has some pages to "theguitarresource.com" and the strongest is a post at DP I may suppose you just need more stronger links to your website.
    3. As you're not in its cache I may presume it really never acessed your site. More backlinks.

    1. looks like a bug: if google last accessed the page on jun 16th, you're not in trouble.
    2. your free something page just got lucky. Be patient, your other site will also be listed. It may be the quality (instead of quantity) of the backlinks to the free stuff site.
    3. get better instead of more backlinks to: http://theguitarresource.com

    ok, i'll just wait this one out. But something still seems funny. I have some links from some pretty high PR's sites...

    In google's webmaster tool, you can test your robots.txt file there.........check line by line until you find the line that google has the error on and go from there
