I am currently finding that blog posts are appearing incredibly fast in Google. On the other hand surprisingly they may take up to 24 hours to appear in Google Blogsearch. In both cases I am sure the existence of the blog post is triggered by the RSS news feed. It used to be the case that Blogsearch would show the blog post within hours and the regular web search might take days even for relatively high-ranking content blog posts. This reversal is somewhat surprising and potentially very useful. I was particularly struck by a case yesterday. The Vancouver Sun had a report on a branding study for White Rock B.C. done by Whisper. Branding is a topic that always intrigues me so I wrote a blog post on it. Within two hours of posting it, it was outranking the newspaper article for certain related Google regular Web searches. However it has taken 24 hours to surface in the Google Blogsearch. I am interested in whether other people have noticed this effect. It certainly is an important way of getting visibility for your blog posts. If you see a breaking news story, particularly one that may have slightly limited appeal, then a rapid blog post may give you unexpected visibility. Of course some people will use Google to follow up on the news story and then they find your blog post. Has anyone else been using this approach?
Yes you are right, however the keyword in your title as well as in your content is equally important. Its not necessary to setup a link to the keyword, rather highlight the keyword and you will see the results. And thatz the only reason even I see lot of fancy and attractive templates around the web, I have stick to the blogspot template for my blog. I get my search with the keyword on the second page of google within 15 mintues of posting my article - out of a million links And after I finish bookmarking the article, it comes up on the first page..... Cheers !!!!
