    How google make web alerts?

    Lets say someone is updating site on weekly bases will his site shown in google web alerts on weekly bases? :D

    The web alerts from Google will inform when there are changes in the SERPs of any specific keywords or search terms that you specify. It won't alert you everything someone makes a change to their site.

    What does stands for SERPs. I know web alerts don't tell who is making changes or updating data. My question is how some news, blogs, sites listed in webalerts.

    Lets say i set web alert for hair care then how google or yahoo will show some links?
