the move is good sign for bloggers, lot of comment spammers are there, comments like "hi nice post" followed by some link..
I think it is too difficult even for google to reduce the comment spam by penalizing sites. Anyways, I never was too fond of this strategy. I have other link building methods to build my site links.
Building 10-15 comments/month is not bad at all... if we don't build links from where can we rank high in search engines??
We should warn google they are not god, even though they think they are. Perhaps there should be more government intervention with google's practices. Buying all these companies is border line monopoly, but they are concerned about some comments being spam? I think this is the last of their worries. They need to cover their tails more, which they have been doing.
I don't think..they would make it up..!!..As today...spammers are getting manual ...!!..Well Do they have some good tricks to catch them?
you should review the post properly and leave the link in the end. Not as a spam like. "Hey nice post".. link.. "great dude". link.. This just insult the blogger, and it will be considered as a spam. As a blogger you might have experienced such sort of spammers as well as proper link builders who review and read your blog.
Meaningful comment is always good. I hate comment spams very much. Some idiots try to leave links to questionable websites in my blogs. If they have at least read my blog posts and leave meaningful comments, I will accept the links, since both my blogs are dofollow blogs
By deleting posts where the reader clearly didn't read closely before responding. Like yours, for instance.
Google can kiss my you-know-what! I am so tired of hearing about what Google wants to do to "change" their algorithm... I could puke!
I don't really care about google's algorithum changes either. Caffeine, no caffeine, site speed, blogs, no blogs, whatever.
I guess a lot of people would definitely like or hate this one coz most SEO use blog commenting as way to get backlinks so I guess few people will soon become more daring in not being strict in blog commenting coz they know Google doesnt care much about blog commenting anymore?
Sounds to me that Google repeatedly penalises sites for doing those things that Google hints at are good for sound SEO. Personally I wouldn't comment spam but I have no issue with people using anchor text in my blog comments providing that they leave good quality comments, not just, "Great Post"
