    Of course google is the king, but people should not underestimate yahoo. If you rank high in yahoo it's decent traffic too. Some people optimize for google only, but it is easier to get to the top in yahoo with yahoo answers and other stuff

    if you rank high anywhere, its a good traffic ;) :p
    not just for yahoo, also to any place and SE

    and easier = less competative

    See the title of the thread says Google vs Yahoo. Its not about SE only. Yes Google has the better SE. But see it as a whole. Yahoo is the biggest web portal. Compare it to igoogle. igoogle is far behind Yahoo. Google is only biggest SE. Not on whole. Even YPN pays higher than ADsense in some cases. On a whole Yahoo has so many services and is much bigger than Google in that sense. I think people spend a lot more time on Yahoo than Google. in Google people including me search and go away. Also Yahoo shows the total backlinks to a site to anyone. Without it we would not be able to judge our competitors. Thus Yahoo helps SEO so much. We should be loyal to it. Points against google is that it has made this useless pr thing which everyone is so crazy about without much result. Also Google introduced nofollow which is the most useless thing. It has not stopped comment spam. Thats why I support yahoo. Both has bad points but Yahoo has less bad points.
