Hi there I have noted that for the same keyword my website is positioned in yahoo and google with a huge difference.... example some key is n1 in yahoo and not even listed in the top 100 in google or viceversa. How can that be?
I could be treading on thin ice, but could it be that they are both 2 completely different search engines? Remember, Yahoo and Google don't display the same results. They have their own methods to rank websites in their SERPs. Google has the majority of the search mark, but Yahoo searchers give better conversions.
It is easier to get listed high in yahoo they accept all backlinks. Google has more traffic so that is the one you want to be number 1 for.
I miss the old days when Yahoos search engine results were actually supplied by Google. If you had good SERPs, you could dominate the search engines. Ahhhh, the good old days .........
For me, Yahoo index more pages, find more backlinks more quickly, but sends very little traffic compared to Google.
