Google vs Yahoo

I noticed some of my sites are no.1 in yahoo and other places on google they are like on the 2nd or 4th page or futher back. I do have some on first page of google but most are ranking real good on yahoo. Does google think my sites are not good enough for their SE and think they are trash and then maybe think, your not good for us so we will send you to the 2nd string (yahoo) and let them deal with it?

The Google and Yahoo algorithms are different and always will be. So you wouldn't expect them to produce identical results, would you?

Yet another Google vs Yahoo thread. :( Read the forum or use the search functions if you wish to discuss something that has already been discussed years ago to avoid spammy threads.

    Google FTW!

I noticed when my ranking in Google went up my Yahoo ranking dropped. I increased backlinks and a week or two later Google rank was higher. It also seems Yahoo indexes sites with the keyword in the domain name faster.

They don't have the same algorithm in my experience when the keyword is higher in yahoo it is lower in google and vice versa.

more of my keywords ranked on Yahoo, following factors. If you do link building without thinking of Do follow or not. Yahoo has a time to time update on their backlinks, and when you collect the most are related links to your niche. probably the keywords will get the first page ranking. I noticed this thing on my set of targeted KW.

The SEO is about "fact" and not based solely with "own assumption". Google itself does not has any motion toward each and every website ranking in their hands. They just following their own path, algorithm and you need to make your website follow them as well. It is simple as that.

As above already said, both of them are using a completely different algorithm between each other. Most of websites I saw have to trade ranking in Yahoo for first page in Google. I have seen only a few ones got good ranking in both of them altogether.

i do on page optimization for google. Also if you check mostly google results are far more better then yahoo search results.
So for me yahoo has a bad algo as compared to google.
I care for my visitors as google does.
