The companies like to keep that stuff secret However, backlinks are less important with yahoo than google, and domains seem to be slightly more from my experience
google is simple and more powerful for me Yahoo is a portal which contain lot of news and informations
Yahoo is more about onsite SEO. If you put plenty of keywords in your meta tags and in you content Yahoo will rank you well. Google is more about offsite SEO. They care more about who is linking to you, how many backlinks you have and how naturally you are generating them.
google is much faster than yahoo with indexing pages. Google indexed my website after 2 days existens, yahoo didn't even bother to crawl after 5 month. If I ad new pages to my site, google needs usally 5 min to 1 day to index the new page. Yahoo is not so much about backlinks, but google is. Yahoo is more about your content quality.
google is faster then yahoo, and both work on backlinks but google search is better then yahoo because google ranking sistem is better
Well Google is alot more effecient for affiliate marketers as they have less restrictions and yahoo doesn't allow affiliate links as i've heard.
Hmm, but for yahoo, if i have tons of backlinks would i still rank on first page even if my content on the homepage is scarce? Since my website does not have that many content on the main page... i rather have a simpler home page with not many keywords stuffed inside... So if i want to rank well on yahoo can i still do it with lots of backlinks? Instead of loading my homepage with a lot of text...
That's interesting. I can never get good ranking in Yahoo but doing alright in Google. Perhaps I sould get tons more backlinksto improve Yahoo ranking too?
Ya its a good and intersting topic google really gives your site more traffic then yahoo because most to the people using Google search engine.
I'm using Google for SEO. I always target to Google, my all keywords in top ranking so Google is better for me.
google and yahoo are two different things. Yahoo should no longer be seen as a search engine, but a social website (yahoo Q and A, flickr.....).
