just checking which is the best backlinks to get, my site is 2 days old (if that, 1 1/2 to 2 days) and i have 3 backlinks in Yahoo but 0 backlinks in Google? does it matter and which one is better?
Yahoo is a better representation of your backlinks. Google does not show you all the links it knows about.
aah ok but when i come to sell my site, if i ever do, an i talk about backlinks, do i add them all up or take the highest search engine?
I think you are a bit confused....the search engines are not competiting against each other. You caould have a backlink in Google and the same on in Yahoo. Your best bet for checking backlinks is through google Webmaster tools.
Are you sure about that? I'm not incredibly experienced with this, but I'm pretty sure Google, Yahoo and Bing don't link together... However, I could be misunderstanding your arguement.
Google sees all your backlinks but doesn't show them all. Just use Yahoo site explorer or backlinkwatch.com
these days yahoo acts really strange I saw it recently about some of my blog yahoo indexed it faster than google , maybe they change their strategy? Cause generally people dont use yahoo cause you cant find something refresh

Google does not show as many backlinks on its search engine but yahoo shows all the links you have using its siteexplorer. To get a better idea of your links on Google use Google Webmaster tools.
Google has to be the best cause they are probably the most biggest known search engine in the world. even bing is known more now then yahoo
Yahoo represents links better, but now a days if you have your site crawled and have a webmaster account for it. Checkout the inlinks to your site. Google is showing you more links then Yahoo even.
