Google may have soared past Microsoft in terms of innovation and bucking the trend, but one area where Microsoft still holds strong and can teach the new "interweb" boys a thing or two is the art of lobbying. Microsoft has been using it's muscle in congress to thwart Google's proposed partnership with Yahoo, and Google has now learned it is not wise to try and ignore any subsequent Dept of Justice ruling. Welcome to the real world Google. http://blog.wired.com/business/2008/10/google-vs-micro.html
This is part and parcel of doing biz for the boys in the big leagues, not just Bill but everyone there.
i thought bill has retired and left decision making to steve ballmer. anyway as for the deal, i don't support it unless it benefits me and other Googlers; I'm not a fan of monopoly. It gets a company in comfort zone and makes them believe they can do anything they want and develop inferior products. Anyway I think Google should focus more on Adsense and Adwords instead of expanding as I hear many people complaining in these areas and they are pretty slow in developing a solution for these complaints.
that's were these politicians comes instead of being impartial they takes sides... this is were they are allow business bosses to dictate terms..
