    They are best in their own field,
    Search Engine/ Social network

    But in means of Adwords/facebook Ads

    Adwords rocks the game with highly targeted traffic/sales than just passers as in facebook ads

    I'm not so sure about that. Facebook grew so fast in a couple of years and today, almost all websites wants to be connected with facebook, and facebook also gives targeted traffic to the websites.

    It depends on what you want to accomplish. Facebook in a social network community. Google was founded on the strength of organizing content. These are two entirely different objectives. Check out Google plus 1, does this mean Facebook will have to deploy a search engine that rivals Google?
