You're talking about google + over facebook not plain google. google is a search engine while facebook is a social networking site. now google + is a social networking site that they claim is the facebook killer. but i dont believe that. Facebook is more prefered by users than that of other social networking sites.
How about the current tendency, that less and less people are joining FB, but most educated people start using G+
For a more targeted group I would choose Facebook, but it is generally much cheaper to advertise with AdWords!
If you want to compare social networks than Facebook because it's been around longer than google+. I use to go on facebook a lot but I don't anymore. I think that's the only real comparison you can give to both websites. I think google is attempting match facebook in trying to be a social network and plus a popular search engine. However, all facebook would need is a search engine similar to google and it could easily topple google, imo. Everyone goes there anyway to get entertained and network with friends/family. All they would need is a search engine to make it a one stop resource for information and networking.
Google+ is the result of Google's inability to buy Facebook, but they are far from achieving Facebook's success and eventually g+ will be another Google's failed attempt as it was their attempt to mimic Twitters with Google Buzz or Yahoo Answers with Google answers, all failed. Personally I dislike both Facebook and Google+, as I dislike the new Twitter's approach to social networking, also trying to replicate Facebook.
So, basically you dislike all social networks, am I right? are you registered in any of them? If yes, then you're a mere hypocrite
Yeap, I do agree. These sites cant be compare as they serve difference purposes. Unless one day Facebook decides to come up with a search engine. hehe
There is a new social networking site coming up called hepworld. website is www.hepworld.com . Lets see if it can be better than facebook.
It's definitely Google for searching and running ads. Facebook is great for networking and you can have your site go viral quick if you do it right. They both have their good and bad.
Don't want to sound discouraging, but you should realize that the chances for that are less, than vague
