Google is always in the first place in search engine, almost all the internet users prefer to use Google.
Not always, we are on the first page in google on many keywords while we only on 5-6 page in Bing But we do not mind!
Maybe in USA it is interesting battle... but at my home Bing has funny weird search results It is only joke site with nice photo for me.
Google is worth the investment, both monetary and time wise but as mentioned previously, it dances a lot. Bing is more steady but it is harder to as good of a ROI as Google.
Google advantage: Provides more relevant information. While Bing's recent changes make it a more viable search option, it's still lacking in terms of result quality in response to informative queries. thats why im still for google.
Aim for Google but an important factor to think about is, Bing can bring in more money Bing users are generally less "tech savvy" think of the older generation who don't even understand the term "internet marketing" they use internet explorer and Bing. This depends on you're niche of course but its worth considering
I always focus on ranking in Google, most of if not all of my search engine traffic comes from google.
Google is much better of course. My websites gain about 85-90% from Google, 3-4% from Yahoo, 2-3% from Bing and other websites (like social media). Google is such a giant and you should do a lot of hard work to boost your rankings and boost your traffic!
My traffic from the three major search engines: • 65.3% from Google • 18.8% from Yahoo! • 15.9% from Bing I've noticed my rankings for keywords tend to be better in Yahoo! and Bing than in Google.
I actually think that Google is annoying the hell out of a lot of hard working webmasters at the moment. 2 years ago I would laughed if you said that Bing could get a decent market share, but in truth I'm now switching to Bing and focusing energies on their, although of course you neglect Google at your peril.
It is very sure that no one can beat G in internet market and now in OS of mobile... They are number 1
Google also came out on top in search terms for current events. A search for "DNC" produced virtually all results for the Democratic National Convention, with up-to-the-minute news stories marked as such. Bing's results included a jarringly large photo of President Obama, along with some oddly random results such as the Wikipedia page for "dilation and curettage," a surgical procedure.
One thing I see that Bing likes directory submission, if you do directory submission massively then of course your ranking would be higher in Bing.
I personally don't care about bing at all, we ranked pretty high on bing as well in 2012, however less than 2% are from bing. It is incorrect to say bing has 15% of market share, it depends on your target traffic. In some area, bing has 0%. Also bing is yahoo, and yahoo is bing.
The numbers don't agree with you. In January 2013 in U.S. search results, the Bing market share was 16.5%.
