With Google and Apple emerging at the e-fight of this decade and with rumors that Apple may be developing its own search engine (according to BusinessWeek) Do you see this fight as good for us or bad?
healthy competition has got to be good, but i doubt they'll overtake google in terms of search engine if they did.
if there is to be another search engine, then i can only see good things happening to us. currently we are too dependant on google for our traffic. more search engines mean more balanced source of traffic.
Microsoft and Bing haven't dented Google so I can't see Apple doing anything to threaten Google but come up with a stylish web design.
I don't see apple creating major competition for Google. Even if they default their own search engine in safari it probably wont make an impact. As the opposite I see google's tablet being a major competition for apples ipad.
Apple cannot overcome google, if that is the case yahoo or Microsoft bing would have done by this time. According to statistics google is far ahead of all the other search engines in the world. Apple has not yet ventured into the search engine market. Another 50 years of time anything might happen not now.

This kind of compettiotn is always good. Especially if the competition is between brands like Google and Apple as both are huge. So i don't see any disadvantage in it.
Think up anything you'd like/think Apple should be doing, and there's a rumor for it, guaranteed. I don't really buy that they're putting together a search engine in the first place.
