I know how to improve ranking in Google search engine, but I can't fit in my mind for Alexa search engine.So can any one tell me how to improve alexa rank? and how to benefit us? Thanks.
Focus on Google and you will be fine. Even Yahoo and MSN are not big players in the search engine crowd, why bother with Alexa? From the sites we manage, we see Google bring about 10x more traffic than Yahoo and MSN. All 3 search engines share some similar algorithms, but they are different. If you can get to the top of Google, you don't have to worry about the other two.
I know Google is king.but Google rank and alexa rank is so far difference.If your site on 1st in google.but no where in alexa.why?
If you rank no1 on google, you will definitely rank no1 in alexa lol. Don't focus on alexa focus on google because it is much more important than alexa
Alexa ranking are important to certain Pron sites. Some pron affiliates want you to have a certain Alexa rating before you can join and certain pron webmasters want you to have a specific Alexa rating before they will traded traffic with you. My $.02

alexa rank is mainly based on traffic so once u r traffic and backlink increase, your alexa rank is updated
Alexa ranking is mainly dependent on increase or decrease in your traffic stats and I find it highly inefficient. It is just not worth while to focus on it. Google is the leader, so just stick with it! Regards, RightMan
First of all Alexa is not a search engine. You have to try your best to get higher rank in Google. Then you will get traffic. When you are getting traffic your Alexa rank will increase.
Alexa rank is indicated your site traffic. That means, if you want to increase your alexa rank, you only need to increase your site traffic.. Not more..
Don't focus much on alexa, it won't effect your SERP on google. Anyhow, you can increase your alexa rank by installing their toolbar and making your website as homepage in your browser.
What do you mean by nowhere in Alexa, I wonder? Anyway, just as it has been reiterated here: increase your traffic, and you will see alexa traffic rank increase. How is traffic to be increased? That's a totally different can on worms. As to the focus on google mantra, I would say that it's definitely the priority since the overwhelming majority of search is done via google, but I wouldn't be so categorical as to say "totally forget everything and focus on google exclusively". I believe it is sensible to rely on other sources of traffic besides search engine, if your resources allow doing so. Otherwise, you slip, then google slaps (or snaps) - and boom! you hit the bottom.
if you are first on major keywords then you will be in a good ranking in alexa try good ranking in google you will be in top in alexa also
