Google visit schedule?

In Google, from cached page details, I found the date of crawling that particular page. Is there is any special rule for Google crawler visits? What is the minimum and maximum time duration for crawler visits? (Not only for Google for other search engines too). Is there is any method to find Yahoo last visited date for a particular page as that of Google?

I think visits frequency is in some kind random and I could find some good reasons for this claim.

The frequency mainly depends on the the linking pattern points to your site in my opinion.

    Google will crawl based on:
    - site pr
    - frequency of changes

It can go from once a day to once every month (or something).

Google crawls sites every day at 5:37am. Make sure your site is up at that time. I used to have a script that turns off all outbound links from 5:37 to 5:41am to ensure I'd have a higher PR, worked wonders.

    ;)
