I am looking forward to giving them a shot, not sure how they will perform. For those who feel left in the dark: http://adwords.blogspot.com/2006/05/click-to-play-video-ads-for-adwords.html
They are limited to sites accepting "image" ads and certain boxy units. I'm going to try a test or two of my own as AdWords buys. Couple of Cool Facts: 1) They do not auto start - the user must start them. 2) Playing them does not cost/earn a click. Only an actual click (for cpc) buys. As soon as they release the specs I hope to also offer video production to my clients so if anyone needs some help give me a shout. If you need royalty free stock footage for your spots I can hook you up with that too. I think this finally signals the real multimedia era of the internet has arrived. About time too!
For some reason I really don't think these are going to do well at all. I almost see them more as becoming an annoyance to visitors, even if they don't autostart. Just figured I'd throw in my 2 cents. Ryan
