I was checking out SmartPageRank, which is a very helpful site. I noticed the valuation of one of my sites seemed really good. Then I inputed google for fun. Yikes! A little out of my budget. Yeah, I know it's an estimate and probably not very accurate. It's also just for fun really. And I thought SEO.com going for $5,000,000 was a lot! Google Valuation: $2,578,532,875
Dont blame them guys... the site is it beta... So they are bound to make some mistakes.. Here is wht they had to say about my entry " The estimated value of www.fashdesigns.com is: $941" I would be happy if i can sell that site for half the amount...
That is just for domain name not buisness. I do not think the site is correct no one would pay that for a domain name only.
Now that I think about it, you're probably right about being valued in the $Billions. It's a gigantic business, not just a domain.
The estimated value of verbalbattle.com is: $39 This value is represents the approximate value of the website entered. Of course, this value does NOT include the worth of the company behind the website but rather is an estimated value of the website itself. Some of these valuation factors include: PageRank, traffic, backlinks, age of the domain, directory listings, and other items not shown in the summary above. Definetly only domain name. Still surprised mine is worth $39, I would of guess $3 or $4 lol.
Yahoo is worth around $50 Billion. Google makes more than double what Yahoo makes in a year so I would say $125 Billion is more accurate. If Google was valued at only $2 Billion, every big company and their mother would be buying since Google generates 5+ times that each year.
Google's current value, according to their "Market Capitalization" is $160 Billion: http://finance.yahoo.com/q?s=goog It's a fair valuation, if a bit undervalued I think. Their earnings and growth rate justify it. For comparison, Microsoft's market cap is $273 Billion, GE's is $402 Billion, Yahoo's is $32 Billion.
why not?! think about the TRAFFIC a domain name like this would send. for years to come.. IMO it would be a good purchase
