Google/URL length

    Hi;

    i have two question about google/url length.

    (yes, i know shorter urls is allways rocks:D but ) what is the best length for the urls in google eyes?:confused: :confused:

    I think it would be nice to avoid charectors like '?' and '&' '_'in the url. I dont think a hyphen '-' will create problems. and try to reduce the levels of urls with a back slash.

    "like http://www.baseurl.com/url/url2/url3/url4....urln.html"

    the best is 4 levels if you cant avoid it.....

    Yes I agree, if you want to use a keyword rich URL it should not contain more than 3 words.

    yeah try to keep it as short as possible. not only for the search engines, but for users who you want to remember your URL. the shorter it is, the more likely they are going to remember it correctly.

    yeah i agree with that also make sure it's should be easy to remeber not only short. dont do a domain like www.z8e1h.com yeah it's short but hard to remeber...

    I don't like any hyphens but 1 or 2 is probably ok.

    I would say not over 10 characters.

    you mean 1-2 characters or 1-2 hyphens? :p

    Google doesn't care much about domain names (and lenght) in contrary to live for example.
