OK, maybe this thread will be shot down in flames or maybe not but here goes.

I have been at the top of a very competitive search for over 6 months and the person in position 4 has jumped to number 1 within the last 4 hours.

The entire top ten results have been re-ordered and new people have jumped into the top 10. These results have been 100% static for 6 months.

    Anybody else seeing anything?

Edit: checking another site and the results have changed lots in the last few hours as well.

I've not really seen anything like that, however, I'll watch with interest... and baited breath!

Yes, I had talked about a potential Google Dance at http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=77670 in my thread a week or so ago. Over at Webmasterworld too, they are talking about a dance today. Many websites started losing pages in early April and since then there has been a lot of turbulence in SERPs. So just keep your fingers crossed and wait for things to settle down.

Normally I wouldn't post stuff like this but the changes are so major on a previously stable search term that its hard to ignore. Its certainly not the "everflux" that we sometimes see.

Yes ...seeing major major hammering of ALL my sites. Have dropped 60K+ indexed pages in last month, 15K indexed pages since yesterday. Losing many of my major SERPs placements - disappearing into oblivian :(

Also seeing PR6 and PR7 sites losing indexed pages and SERPs as well. This may be something major!

Wish my sites would join in the dance ;)

I am not seeing any changes, my sites are ranked pretty low so I would love to see any movement.

I too think something is going on.

    See the changes.

    Keyword 1

    Daily change Weekly Change
    -9,801 -9,810

    Keyword 2

    Daily change Weekly Change
    -9,822 -9,822

I had a decent ranking for both of these two keywords till yesterday :(

Hey Maldives ... you're not the only one. I and many others are seeing lots of red in the DP BL tool. I have a theory about why which I comment on in this thread, please visit and provide your feedback.

    It's the darndest thing though.

I have sites with good backlinks, age, on-page seo, etc... all seo'd in a similar way. Some are shooting up, other shooting down.

    Very inconsistant.
